 Born 18.12.1949. Working in the field of
soundart and visual art/object art, creating vinyl
sculptures. In the 1960-70ies Fluxus related
activities. Since then working with turntables as
instruments, still his prime working method
today. Claus van Bebber has been a founding
member of the artist collective Heinrich Mucken”
(1982-1990) and as a sound artists has
collaborated with Erhard Hirt, Paul Hubweber,
Philip Jeck, Ron Schmidt, Helmut Lemke,
Michael Vorfeld, Dieter Schlensog. His latest
groups are the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Fruchttanz
(with Tobias Schmitt und Günter Schroth) and
the duo Tefiton (with Erhard Hirt). Releasse on
intermedium records, Nur/Nicht/Nur, FMP and
anthropometrics.


Working since the 1970ies as a musician and
promoter/curator in the field of improvised and
experimental music. Starting point for his
electroacoustic works is the notion of sound as
a meaningful surface of musical creativity and

Dave Draper.


Uli Böttcher has studied art education. Since the
early 90ies he has been working as a percus-
sionist in Salsa ensembles. He moved on to
improvised music in the mid 90ies and has been
a member of the legendary outfit Maxwells
Dämon (with Stephan Mathieu). He also is a
member of 'Ensemble 2inc'. He loves and works
in Wiesbaden, Germany.


Paul Hubweber began with trombone studies in
1971 mainly concentrating on improvised music.
He has developed his own special "trombone
voice" and his musical focus. It is the special
affinity for the balladic and the noisy, i. e. the
non-separable combination of tone and sound
belonging to the same origin. The description
for music (tones, sounds, noises) as totally
independent from stereotypes like extempori-
zation and composition – "Home is where the
heart is!" Continuous co-operation with: a. o.

Davies is a welsh-born harp player with a
unique style crossing the borders between con-
temporary classical music, improvisation and
pop. He has played and recorded with some of
Europe’s finest improvisators such as Derek
Bailey, John Butcher, Burkhard Beins, Andrea
Neumann and Even Parker. He performs inter-
nationally and has played nunmerous important
festivals. Influenced by live electronics, he is
particularly interested in exploring noise, silence
and abstract sound on his acoustic and ampli-
fied instrument. Rhodri Davies is a member of
the ensembles “Apartment House” and
“branches” interpreting contemporary new music
by composers such as Cornelius Cardew,
John Cage and others.

Communication design studies at the University
for applied sciences, Hamburg, later specializing
in audiovisual work: video, sound installations.
Büttner founded audio duo “für diesen abend”
with stefan funck in 2001, often accompanied
by visuals from Katrin Bethge (overhead-
projections). In 2004 he launched his label
1000fussler which releases experimental music
